Towering oaks dripping with Spanish moss shade the 110-acre property that is home to year-round residents or overnight guests who seek a place where they can retreat from the distractions of the world and advance in the knowledge of the Lord. Christian Retreat serves as headquarters for the Family Church and Gospel Crusade, Inc., a worldwide mission’s organization founded in 1953 and directed by Gerald Derstine. It is also the headquarters church for Gospel Crusade Ministerial Fellowship (GCMF)

Conferences at Christian RetreatWeekly conferences from January to March feature nationally-known Christian leaders and concert artists. Daily classes at our Institute of Ministry are open to guests, also. Many other events, Encounters, youth and childrens' camps are held year-round.
